It’s coming around again. As much as you want to do more than send a card this year (at the last minute), you know yourself. If you’re a regular reader of blogs like ours you’re a business owner or marketing professional. It’s hard to find time to brainstorm gift ideas.
Allow us to brainstorm for you! Here’s 8 takes on one simple idea: turn her life into art.
- A different take on flowers. Flowers are pretty easy to order and have delivered. The problem is that they die. This year take a few high-quality photos of the arrangement and capture it for a lifetime on canvas.
- You and Mom last Mother’s Day. Or Memorial Day, or Easter, whenever it was that you had your dad take that beautiful picture of you two together.
- Mom’s favorite vacation memory. This one might require a little stealthy thievery … but she’ll forgive you when she sees herself and Dad arm in arm, the Hawaiian sunset behind them, all large as life on her bedroom wall.
- Loved ones who have passed away. Who does she talk about the most among family members show have passed on? She will love that you noticed.
- You as a kid. “They grow up so fast!” says everyone, and Mom is no exception. Depending on your age the image quality might not have been great back then, but she won’t care.
- Grandkids. The image quality should be much better, and wouldn’t it be fun to do both this and #5 to marvel at the family resemblance?
- Mom’s special animal friend. Whether she’s a dog person, cat person, parrot person, orangutan person (you get the idea), how could she not love to see her animal baby captured on canvas?
- Accomplishments. What has she done in life that she is most proud of? Is she an artist? A gardener? Has she written a book, climbed a mountain, built a business? Consider what you can photograph to capture this part of her life and do her the honor of enshrining it in her home.
That’s just 8 of hundreds of ideas. Yes, some of them do require a bit of photography work. If you’d like, we can connect you with our network of professional photographers who would love to help you with your project.
